- Start by looking at the works of Dave White and exploring his website.
- You will need to select a shoe that you would like to do a 4 angle observational shoe drawing of. When doing an observational drawing begin by simplifying the object into shapes and lines. You will need to have contour lines that vary in thickness. You should spend a full day on these observational drawings.
-Pick your favorite drawing and recreate it on white paper using pencil and adding value. You can use colored pencil to some areas to make them stand out and help you create emphasis.
-Once that is complete you can begin to work on your splatter paint backgrounds. Choose to use either black or white paper and use either black or white paint along with 2 more colors. You should have 3 paint colors in total.
-Give it a few minutes to dry and glue your shoe onto your background.
