HOW OUR EXHIBITION WILL WORK…
NO JURY, NO THEME (open exhibition)
Any professional or amateur artist is invited to participate. Although there is no jury and no set theme, please submit your best work and follow the requirements for scale, media and subject matter.

AFTER THE EXHIBITION:
All artwork received will be considered a donation and will not be returned to the sender, even if it remains unsold. Any unsold artwork will be donated to the charity to use for further fundraising efforts or as a memory of the support received.

ONLINE SALES:
Online sales will start on Friday March 19th, 2021. More information regarding our online sales will be available on our website soon.

FUNDING LEGITIMATE CHARITIES:
90% of the funds raised, by the sale of the small artworks, will go to New Directions.
10% will go back to Myrtle Beach High School Art department to cover costs of gallery space rental and publicity.

Artists will be credited both online and alongside their physical artworks, when on display.

PRIVACY:
By participating in the ART FOR HOPE exhibition you agree to the terms and conditions. This means any art submitted to the exhibition can be sold to raise money for our chosen charity, with 90% of the proceeds from art sales going directly to the charity and 10% going back to the MBHS Art department to cover exhibition running costs. In addition, your art could be featured commierically in a publication or printed materials.

Create an ORIGINAL vertical piece of artwork. Size requirements: 2.5” X 3.5” (see detailed size, medium and material requirements below). Up to FIVE small artworks per artist will be accepted. Portrait format. Attached labels provided. Any subject (please avoid subjects of an ‘adult’ nature, as these will not be displayed at the show). And remember to SIGN YOUR ARTWORK!

Please do not write anything in the white blank circle, this is for our use to catalogue each artwork with it’s own numbers.

Thick, good quality paper is preferred, but thin cardboard will also do. Sketch or print paper is too flimsy and cannot be accepted.

Artwork must be SIGNED, handmade ORIGINALS in any of the following 2D mediums:
watercolor, acrylic, oils, ink, gouache, mixed media, printmaking, collage, pencil, charcoal, pastels, marker and digital art.

This is an exhibition of small art works, so your artwork should resemble an “artist trading card” (art on one side, your information on the other). For the overall look of the exhibition, it’s important that the artworks are close to each other in size. The dimensions required are 2.5” X 3.5”. Pretty much the size of a playing card.
