Sketchbook 6 - Literature Response
You have two options for this sketchbook. You may EITHER go abstract and non-representation OR you may go illustrative.
Your assignment is to read a poem, short story, section of a book, or other form of literature and then EITHER illustrate how it makes you feel OR illustrate a scene or character from the reading. Use value, color, line, texture, and other elements of art to communicate your meaning. You may use mixed media. Your work should fill the page. Spend some time on this sketchbook - do not try to rush it. Even if your work is abstract, I still expect a well-thought-out composition. Somewhere on the page (or on the front or back), provide the title of the poem or work of literature and the author.
